Longevity is one of the most practical things to judge a fragrance on. There's not much point loving a scent that's gone within the hour. Peppery Amber was built with this in mind.
What actually makes a fragrance last
Longevity comes down to concentration, the materials used, and which notes sit where. Light, fresh notes like citrus fade fastest; resins, woods and amber are built to cling to skin for hours. That's why Peppery Amber leans on amber and cedarwood in its base, they're doing the heavy lifting for staying power, while pink pepper and clove handle the opening impact.
The notes
- Top: Pink pepper, clove
- Heart: Leather, cedarwood
- Base: Amber, vanilla
6–8 hours of wear with moderate sillage, present without needing reapplication through a full day or evening.
How to get the most out of it
- Apply to pulse points (wrists, neck, behind the ears) where body heat helps the fragrance develop.
- Moisturise with an unscented lotion first; hydrated skin holds fragrance longer than dry skin.
- Avoid rubbing your wrists together; it breaks down the top notes before they've had a chance to open properly.
Peppery Amber is available as a 1.5ml sample for £6, a 10ml bottle for £25, or the full 50ml Eau de Parfum for £70.
