Perfume Returns Policy UK
We hope you love your purchase, but if you change your mind, you can return it within 14 days of delivery.
Eligibility
Returns are not accepted for made-to-order, personalised items, or opened/used products, including sealed goods like perfumes or candles (unless defective or non-conforming). Products that may deteriorate quickly will be reviewed case by case. Only unused, non-personalised items in original packaging are eligible for return.
Why perfume returns work differently
Fragrance is a hygiene-sensitive product once the seal is broken, which is why — like most niche and designer perfume houses — we can't accept returns on opened bottles unless something's genuinely wrong with them. It's exactly why we sell 1.5ml samples of both Broken Cricket Bat and Peppery Amber: a £6 sample lets you test a fragrance properly on your own skin before committing to a full 50ml bottle, without any return uncertainty.
How to Return
Email us at info@signaturesmithen.com to register your return and receive instructions. Repackage items securely and keep proof of postage.
Please allow 5–7 business days for your refund, which will be issued to the original payment method.
Note: Online orders cannot be returned in-store or exchanged.
Perfume Returns FAQ
Can I return an opened bottle of perfume?
No — unless it's faulty or not as described, opened or used perfume bottles aren't eligible for return, in line with standard practice across the fragrance industry.
How long do I have to return a perfume order in the UK?
14 days from delivery, provided the bottle is unopened and in its original packaging.
What if I'm not sure which fragrance to choose?
Try a 1.5ml sample first — the same formula as the full bottle, for a fraction of the cost, so there's no return risk to think about.
How long do perfume refunds take?
Please allow 5–7 business days once your return is received, refunded to your original payment method.
