Artisan Perfume

Signature Smithen is an artisan perfume house in the literal sense: two people, two original Eau de Parfums, every formula written and revised in-house rather than commissioned to a lab brief. That's what artisanal fragrance means in practice — small batches, a named perfumer, and no obligation to launch a flanker every spring. We'd rather perfect two fragrances than dilute our attention across twenty.

Broken Cricket Bat is woody and resinous: pink pepper and cardamom at the top, cedarwood and clary sage at the heart, sandalwood, oud and oakmoss at the base. Reach for this if you're drawn to sandalwood-led scents or houses like Le Labo.

Peppery Amber is spicier and warmer: pink pepper and clove ignite over leather and cedarwood, settling into a soft amber-vanilla dry-down. Reach for this if you want something fierier and more amber-forward.

Both are made and bottled in the UK.
